About

I am proudly a force-free, one-to-one dog trainer and behaviourist covering NG16 and surrounding areas. My aim is to improve the relationships between dogs and their humans and enable them to achieve their training goals together.

Red Robin Dog Training is part of the Pet Professional Network, which guarantees that when working with us you will receive force-free, qualified help and advice, and that we are dedicated to continued professional development.

I have 16 years of practical experience working with dogs, both in a rescue environment, extensively with a socialisation focus at Naptha Boarding, mixing large and small groups of dogs of all breeds and ages and studying their behaviour, and as an applied behaviourist and trainer.
My qualifications in canine behaviour are through the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (externally moderated), and I am also qualified in animal care, canine nutrition, dangerous dog handling and hold a current canine first aid certificate, which will always be kept up to date.

I have worked as a visiting volunteer for Therapy Dogs Nationwide with Siberian Husky, Gizmo and have in the past also volunteered in the same capacity for Pets As Therapy with Border Terrier, Reggie.

I currently have two beautiful Staffordshire Bull Terriers of my own, and have worked extensively with many breeds of dogs of all ages, including giant breeds, rare breeds, working dogs and rescue dogs from both the UK and abroad.

I am now qualified as the Temperament Assessor for Therapy Dogs Nationwide for the East Midlands, and assess prospective volunteers and their dogs for the charity.

My future plans include keeping up to date with canine behaviour and training via courses and seminars through the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers and other force-free organisations. My continued professional development is always ongoing, ensuring my clients receive the most effective help possible.
